What we actually do together:

1. Map your "golden cage" pattern

We start by getting very honest about where you’re performing your brand. We look at specific situations: the restructure you don’t make, the offers you don’t change, the conversations you avoid. We track what happens in your body (tight chest, frozen throat, racing thoughts) when you get close to the move you want.

This mapping matters because it turns a vague “I’m stuck” into a clear pattern you can see and work with – so that you stop blaming yourself and start understanding exactly how your system is trying to protect you.

2. Name the defining move you’re circling

Together, we identify the one business shift this round is about: the decision, pivot, ending, or price rise you’ve been postponing. We separate the true move from all the “decoy tasks” you’ve been busying yourself with.

This clarity matters because your system relaxes when it knows what we’re actually here to do – so that your energy stops leaking into ten half-decisions and gathers behind one defining move.

3. Build nervous-system capacity for that specific move

We don’t do generic calming techniques. We work with how your body reacts to this exact edge. I teach you personalised regulation + embodiment tools you can use before, during and after the action (for example: grounding when you hit “publish”, resourcing after a boundary conversation).

This capacity building matters because mindset alone can’t override a terrified nervous system – so that when the moment comes, your body has options other than freeze, fawn, or perform.

This is the key part of this programme. Expand your capacity to move, hold and receive.

4. Rehearse and refine the move in a safe space

 We walk through the scenario together: what you’ll say, how you’ll say it, where your boundaries are, what support you’ll have around you. We notice where your system spikes and adjust pacing and language.

 This rehearsal matters because your body loves familiarity – so that when you do it “for real”, it feels like the next step in a practised sequence, not a leap off a cliff.

5. Do the defining move, with support around the edges

You take the action during the 5 weeks – not “someday”. You share, announce, change, end, or raise what needs to shift. I’m there before and after to help your system process the exposure, relief, and any wobble that follows.

This live support matters because the real activation often comes after the brave moment – so that you don’t backtrack, apologise, or quickly rebuild a new cage around the change you just made.

6. Integrate a new way of leading

We reflect on what happened: how your body responded, what surprised you, what felt good, what felt edgy. We anchor the experience somatically, and translate it into a repeatable inner process you can use for future decisions.

This integration matters because you’re not paying for one dramatic moment; you’re rewiring a pattern – so that you leave knowing, “I can do this again with the next big move,” not “That was a one-off fluke.”

FAQs

Q. What if I still don't make the move after 5 weeks? 

I can’t (and won’t) promise to “make” you do anything. That wouldn’t be nervous-system-led, it would be pressure-led.

What I can say is:

● We spend our early sessions getting very honest and specific about the move, the fears, and what’s at stake.

● We work with your body’s signals instead of fighting them – so you’re not white-knuckling your way through.

● We’ll create doable, titrated experiments that move you closer, instead of one giant leap your system can’t handle.

 

By the end of 5 weeks, one of two things will be true:

1. You’ve made the defining move in a way that feels brave and safe enough,

 or

2. You’re in radically clearer contact with what this move actually is, what’s been stopping you, and what kind of support or pacing you need next.

 

Either way, you leave with more self-trust, more clarity, and practices you can keep using.

Q. Why not just see a somatic therapist?

 

Somatic therapy is powerful and I fully respect that work.

Q. What if I don't know my defining move?

 

You don’t have to arrive with a perfectly articulated “defining move”. It’s completely okay to just know:

“Something about my business is no longer right… I just can’t quite name it.”

Part of the work of this lab is finding that clarity together.

✨ In your December pre-work session and our opening session, we’ll map what feels off, what you’re craving, and where your body lights up / shuts down when you talk about different options.

 ✨ We’ll distinguish between decoy moves (like tweaking your logo again) and the deeper shift this season is actually asking for.

 ✨ By the end of Week 1, we’ll have a working definition of your defining move that we refine as we go.

 

You don’t need the perfect sentence before you join.

You just need a sense that you’re at a crossroads – and a willingness to explore what that really is.

Q. What if I'm scared I'll want to burn it all down?

This is so common – especially for women who’ve outgrown the business that’s been “home” for years.

You might worry:

“If I really let myself feel how misaligned this is, I’ll blow everything up.”

“If I listen to my truth, I’ll have to walk away from what I’ve built.”

 

Embodied Action Lab is not about napalming your life or making dramatic, impulsive decisions.

Hi, I’m Yifan — an embodiment & intimacy coach, accidental philosopher, and recovering perfectionist who still sometimes stresses over family meal planning while preaching nervous system regulation.

 

I help high-achieving women (like you — and, let’s be honest, like me) slow down enough to actually feel safe in their bodies, trust themselves again, and build relationships that feel nourishing, not draining.

My Story (a.k.a. why I do this work)

 

I grew up in China, where emotional expression was something you kept private and achievement was how you proved your worth. Years later, I built a beautiful life in the UK — degree, marriage, business — all the right boxes ticked -- but inside, I felt something was missing. 

 

It wasn’t until I began exploring embodiment and intimacy work that I truly came home to myself. I learned that safety isn’t something you think your way into — it’s something your nervous system learns to feel.

 

That realisation changed everything — my marriage (now 15 years and more connected than ever), my parenting, my relationship with myself, and ultimately, my purpose.

I don’t believe in guru vibes or spiritual seriousness. I believe in humanity — messy, beautiful, and gloriously real. My job isn’t to stand above you; it’s to walk beside you while you find your way home to yourself.

 

And yes, we can go deep and laugh along the way. Healing can be sacred and messy at the same time — that’s what makes it human.

  

When I’m not coaching…

 

You’ll probably find me sipping matcha, cuddling up with hubby for a film night, or negotiating the hours of screen time with my two sons. (Parenting, by the way, is the ultimate embodiment practice.)
